Lymphatic drainage is a great way to start most type of other treatments as it cleanses and prepares the body for what’s to come.
The lymphatic system is fundamental to your health. It helps with balancing fluid levels throughout your tissues, activates the immune response to fight infections and disease, and transports fats and fat-soluble vitamins from your digestive tract into your bloodstream.
The lymphatic system has around 800 lymph nodes that are spread around your body in areas like your neck, armpits, groin, chest, and abdomen. In order for the lymph to flow, as this system doesn’t have a pump and relays on passive mechanisms like muscle contractions from exercise, breathing, bowel movements, and the pulsing of nearby arteries, we need to find a way that will encourage the natural movement of lymph fluid through the body. This is where lymphatic drainage massage comes in.
Lymphatic drainage massage is a gentle, specialized massage technique that uses light, rhythmic strokes in specific patterns to stimulate lymph flow. The pressure is light because the lymph vessels are close to the skin's surface and respond better to gentle touch than deep pressure.

A full history will be taken at all initial treatment so that I can get a clear understanding of your wellbeing and can address any concerns you may have. Lymphatic drainage, although gentle, is a very powerful treatment so your health will always be my main concern.
If you're feeling unwell, lymphatic drainage is not recommended as your immune system will be fighting the infection/illness. Please reschedule and wait until you feel better.
